Datalogic Scanners Contribute to the Art World

Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, a cultural foundation in Florence, aimed to make its "Money and Beauty" exhibition more engaging. The challenge was to explain the complex Renaissance banking process to visitors in a fun and interactive way, moving beyond traditional static displays and labels. To achieve this, they partnered with Datalogic and implemented a solution using the Magellan 1100i scanner.

Datalogic provided its innovative Magellan 1100i omnidirectional scanners to power an interactive game called "Follow your Florins." Visitors used the scanners to read the barcode on their tickets, allowing them to invest and track virtual currency at stations throughout the exhibition. This solution was highly successful, with Datalogic's technology engaging approximately 10,000 visitors in the first six weeks, enhancing their experience and improving their understanding of the art.
