Datalogic Plays a Major Role in Salvatempo’s Success at Coop Estense’s “il Borgogioioso” Supermarket

Italian retailer Coop Estense was looking for a middleware solution to manage its self-shopping system, which utilized Datalogic's Joya™ devices and other mobile devices and smartphones. They turned to Datalogic for this solution based on a prior positive experience.

Datalogic implemented its Shopevolution™ 6.0 middleware, which seamlessly integrated with all point-of-sale systems and supported various devices. The solution allowed customers to use either a Joya device or their own smartphone for a faster, self-guided shopping experience, eliminating checkout lines. Datalogic's deployment at the "Il Borgogioioso" supermarket, managing approximately 600 devices, received a highly positive customer response and strengthened the partnership between the two companies.
