Datalogic Mobile Computers Help Autoliv Improve Automobile Safety

Autoliv, a leader in automobile safety systems, needed to standardize production and logistics processes across its European plants while reducing errors in labeling, delivery handling, and inventory management. To support this, vendor Datalogic provided mobile computers compatible with Autoliv’s ERP and JAVA-based applications, with products such as the Viper™ mobile computer helping operators in the field and warehouse.

Datalogic implemented and customized its mobile computers, including the Falcon™ X3, Skorpio™ X3, and Memor™, for Autoliv’s new SAP environment, with support from partner Groupe Prisme. The solution improved efficiency and reduced errors across production and warehouse operations, and more than 600 devices were deployed in Autoliv’s European plants. Autoliv also adopted five-year EASEOFCARE maintenance contracts to help control long-term maintenance costs.
