Datalogic Devices Provide 100% Picking Accuracy for Crown Imperial Group Warehouses

Waterline, part of Crown Imperial Group, is the UK’s largest independent kitchen supplier, serving kitchen fitters and retailers nationwide. Using a warehouse management system, the company wanted to reduce miss-picks that were causing returns, rework, and customer service issues. Datalogic helped address this challenge with the Falcon X3 mobile computer and Powerscan industrial scanner.

Datalogic implemented a solution built with 2D barcoding, stock traceability, and a new wireless network, delivered with its partner GSM Barcoding. Each warehouse item and each customer order now carries a unique 2D barcode, enabling accurate pick, pack, and trace processes with full item-level visibility. The result was 100% picking accuracy, elimination of miss-pick returns, and faster investigation of batch issues, delivering an immediate return on investment for Waterline.
