Mothercare Group, which includes Mothercare and Early Learning Centre, needed a faster, more accurate way to handle short-notice price markdowns, sales promotions, and shop-floor label production across its UK stores. Working with Datalogic, it aimed to reduce pricing errors, cut waste from sheet labels, and improve efficiency in pricing and inventory operations using the Memor mobile computer.
Datalogic’s Memor mobile computer, delivered with SATO’s labelling solution, enabled staff to access a user-defined database for real-time price calculations and on-the-spot label printing. The result was a drastic reduction in sales preparation time, improved cost and time efficiency, less waste, and more time for employees to serve customers, giving Mothercare better control over pricing and a strong ROI.
