Case Study: Schenker Logistics Nederland achieves faster quality control with Datalogic Scan-O-Matic

Datalogic and Kobobss develop intelligent multi-scanning solution Optimizing DB Schenker quality control

Schenker Logistics Nederland, part of DB Schenker’s third-party logistics operations in the Netherlands, needed to speed up quality control at one of its contract logistics sites. Working with Datalogic and partner Kobobss, the company looked for a more efficient, scalable way to scan pallets with many closely spaced barcodes and reduce cycle times without compromising accuracy.

Datalogic helped implement the Scan-O-Matic intelligent workbench, built around a Datalogic Matrix 410N high-performance imager. The system captures multiple codes and photos in one pass, making the process easier to manage and more ergonomic for operators. As a result, Schenker Logistics Nederland increased throughput from about 1,000 scans per hour to 5,500 scans per hour, delivering a major productivity improvement.
