Coop Estense runs 600-device self-shopping with Datalogic

Italian retailer Coop Estense, which operates 54 supermarkets, sought a middleware solution to manage its self-shopping system using both dedicated Joya™ devices and customer smartphones. They turned to vendor Datalogic due to a prior successful partnership.

Datalogic implemented its Shopevolution™ 6.0 middleware, which seamlessly supports all device types. The solution allowed customers to switch between devices without losing data, eliminating checkout lines and saving time. Datalogic's deployment at the "Il Borgogioioso" store, managing approximately 600 devices, was met with a very positive customer response and reinforced the partnership.
