Case Study: Carlsberg improves warehouse scanning operations with Datalogic scanners

Carlsberg’s forklifts are equipped with new scanners

Carlsberg Breweries, the global beer producer with a major distribution centre in Bromma, Sweden, needed a more efficient warehouse scanning system to support new EU traceability requirements and batch-based handling. The company turned to Datalogic and MA-System because its existing forklift scanners could not reliably read pallet labels in the new process.

Datalogic implemented its DS6400 fixed-position industrial reader with oscillating mirror on the double-fork forklifts and DS6300 scanners on the single-fork forklifts. The new Datalogic solution improved label reading regardless of label placement, covered large pallet read areas, and helped Carlsberg improve the quality of operations across the distribution centre.
