Kerakoll, a leading building chemicals group, needed to speed up and improve the accuracy of its warehouse picking and loading process as its daily shipments grew. The manual process was slow and error-prone, so Kerakoll turned to Datalogic and its partner Uni Sistemi for a solution using Rhino™ terminals, DS6400 fixed scanners, Dragon™ handheld scanners, and Viper™ mobile computers.

Datalogic implemented an automated warehouse workflow that sends picking lists to forklift-mounted Rhino™ terminals via Wi-Fi and uses DS6400 scanners to read pallet barcodes during picking and loading, with handheld backup for damaged labels. The result was faster operations, significantly fewer errors, and easier work for operators in harsh indoor/outdoor conditions; Kerakoll now uses more than 100 Datalogic products across two sites.
