Autoliv deploys 600 Datalogic mobile computers to boost productivity and cut errors

Autoliv, a market leader in automobile safety systems, faced the challenge of standardizing its production and logistics processes across European plants. They needed robust and efficient mobile computers to eliminate errors in labeling, delivery handling, and inventory management while improving operator working conditions. Vendor Datalogic, through systems integrator Groupe Prisme, provided their Viper mobile computer as an initial solution.

Datalogic developed a customized Java Virtual Machine and operating system to fit Autoliv's applications. This solution was later expanded with Falcon X3, Skorpio X3, and Memor mobile computers. The implementation of over 600 devices significantly increased productivity, considerably reduced errors, and improved responsiveness. This allows Autoliv to better meet customer requirements and maintain its leadership in the automotive safety market.
