Air China, China's national flag carrier, faced the challenge of modernizing its eCommerce capabilities to shift from indirect offline bookings to a direct online model. The airline needed a flexible and scalable Internet Booking Engine (IBE) solution, as their existing system provided limited control and innovation capabilities. Datalex implemented its full suite of products, including its Shopping & Pricing Engine and Merchandising tools, to power Air China's new B2C website, mobile app, and numerous OTA flagship stores. This solution delivered significant growth; annual passenger segment transactions grew by over 16% in the first year and were over ten times higher by the seventh year. The Datalex platform successfully handles huge promotion event volumes and has made the OTA channel the airline's largest sales channel.
