Standard Chartered Bank Driving Business Outcomes With Data

Standard Chartered Bank needed a scalable way to turn growing volumes of data into business value across the bank, while supporting a broader shift toward analytics, AI, and machine learning. With Dataiku, the bank’s Group Data Technology and DIVE team sought a robust enterprise data analytics platform that could serve multiple roles, replace spreadsheet-heavy processes, and help teams derive insights faster and more consistently.

Dataiku implemented the platform and worked with Standard Chartered Bank to onboard teams across all divisions, launch citizen data science training, build an internal learning portal and community, and support coaching and demos. The impact has been significant: 518 staff completed the Citizen Data Science Training Program, more than 700 completed Dataiku online courses, and the bank now has 123 Dataiku certifications. Adoption has more than doubled in the past year, training demand is up 400% since 2020, FP&A productivity improved by 30x, and the bank expects to cut its property portfolio by 700,000 square feet by 2028, saving $34 million annually.
