Trainline, Europe’s leading independent train travel platform, faced the challenge of monitoring omni-channel marketing acquisition in real time: with paid campaigns running 24/7 and many disparate data sources and formats, static dashboards and a nascent Big Data effort were insufficient. To build a centralized, global view of marketing budget allocation and enable both technical and marketing teams to move quickly, Trainline selected Dataiku and implemented Dataiku Data Science Studio (DSS).
Dataiku DSS was used to blend multiple data sources, create custom connectors, duplicate workflows, and provide a collaborative white‑box interface so marketing teams could access outputs without constant technical support. As a result, Dataiku helped Trainline cut data process construction time from one month to one week, triple data engineer efficiency, enable marketing teams to get needed outputs in minutes, and deliver a real-time dashboard for budget allocation and improved marketing insight.
