FINRA Implementing Self-Service Analytics & Cloud Scalability

FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, needed a way to analyze massive volumes of market data quickly and consistently to spot misconduct and support investor protection. Using Dataiku’s self-service analytics platform, FINRA aimed to give analysts, data scientists, and business users access to petabytes of data without being limited by traditional compute constraints or slow, centralized processes.

Dataiku helped FINRA build an enterprise-wide, cloud-scalable analytics environment with visual workflows, web apps, and Kubernetes-based Node Launcher tooling on AWS. The result was faster prototyping and analysis, with time-to-market cut from months to hours, more than 18 TB of data made accessible, 200+ web apps running daily, 500+ EC2 node clusters, and over 20,000 risk assessments completed in 10 months, delivering millions in annual value.
