A Dataiku Case Study

Betclic Putting Data Science at the Center of Online Gambling

Betclic, France’s largest online betting company, needed to turn massive, fragmented data into business value for use cases like advanced customer segmentation, predicting customers’ next actions, fraud and money‑laundering detection. The nascent data organization had relied on ad‑hoc CSVs, siloed files, and manual scripts, so Betclic engaged Dataiku and its platform for data connection, preparation, collaborative projects, model training, versioning and automation to centralize workflows and upskill analysts.

Using Dataiku, Betclic standardized processes, automated pipelines and scaled its team: in just one and a half years they created more than 130 Dataiku projects and expanded the data function from a three‑person R&D unit to a 20+ person data department. Dataiku enabled faster model iteration, reduced maintenance and communication overhead, supported analyst upskilling, and delivered repeatable production use cases across marketing, customer analytics and fraud detection.
