European Healthcare Providing Company, a major Western European hospital with more than 2,300 staff, needed to adopt an Accountable Care Organization model to improve clinical outcomes while containing costs. They faced uncoordinated, heterogeneous data sources, poor-quality and irregular physician-profiling reports, insufficient risk adjustment, and no automation—problems Dataiku’s Data Science Studio (DSS) was engaged to solve.

Dataiku implemented a DSS-powered data service that automatically cleans and aggregates claims, patient, physician, and prescription data and embeds machine-learning models to score and profile physician practices. Delivered in under two months by a small cross-functional team, the solution reduced average length of stay below national standards, cut unnecessary prescriptions (saving an estimated $1.3M per year), and increased physician engagement in improving care and costs.
