Case Study: Chamber of Shipping streamlines accounting and reporting with Dataflow

A Dataflow Case Study

Preview of the Chamber of Shipping Case Study

When The Chamber of Shipping left its old UNIX accounting system, they opted for the power and versatility of Dataflow32

The Chamber of Shipping, a member-funded shipping industry organization, needed to replace its inflexible UNIX-based accounting system because it could no longer support growing membership, multi-currency operations, and better reporting. Dataflow was chosen for its 32-bit Windows-based accounting software, Dataflow Financials, which offered the flexibility and functionality the Chamber required.

Dataflow implemented a system that streamlined accounting, improved management reporting, and supported multi-company and multi-currency processing, including GBP, EUR, and USD reporting at the same time. The Chamber also reduced its nominal headings from over 2,000 to 150, and data transfer from the old system was completed in less than a day, helping make the transition fast and cost-effective.
