Case Study: British Heart Foundation streamlines accounting with Dataflow32

A Dataflow Case Study

Preview of the British Heart Foundation Case Study

When it came time to upgrade to a Windows-based accounting system, the British Heart Foundation chose Dataflow32

The British Heart Foundation, one of the UK’s top charities, needed to upgrade from its existing accounting system to a true 32-bit Windows solution that could handle charity-specific requirements such as recurring debits and credits, VAT allocation, expense reimbursement, and cheque writing. After reviewing options including Access, Dynamics, and Dataflow32, the BHF chose Dataflow because it offered the flexibility and functionality the charity needed without forcing changes to its accounting practices.

Dataflow implemented Dataflow32 with an instant switchover, converting and testing the data in just four days before going live for 20 users, with full-time on-site support during the first week. The new system quickly enabled management reporting, improved importing and exporting of data, and reduced the time needed for tasks like accruals processing and cost apportionment; the British Heart Foundation also expanded its use of Dataflow tools such as Analyzer and integrated fixed asset management, helping streamline accounting processes further.
