AAP, a UK-based financial services company and the largest buyer of with-profit endowment policies, faced a challenge as its rapid growth to handling 250,000 policies a year caused it to outgrow its Viztopia accounting system. An additional need to integrate with a new Microsoft SQL Server platform prompted the search for a more substantial solution.

The company implemented the DataFlow accounting software, which ran on SQL Server and provided a clear audit trail. A key feature was its ability to interface with AAP's existing bespoke Microsoft Access system. As a result of using DataFlow, AAP was able to double its turnover in the two years post-implementation while maintaining control within its accounting function, successfully absorbing the increased workload.
