Dataedo facilitates use of Data Warehouse at BHG

Bankers Healthcare Group (BHG), a financial partner for healthcare professionals with 600+ employees, built a companywide SQL Server Data Warehouse (about 400 tables, 150 views and 668 stored procedures/functions) and needed a way to make that metadata understandable and accessible to non-developers. They sought to provide consistent, up‑to‑date documentation and a glossary of terms while avoiding broad direct access to the database to reduce performance risks and data corruption — and selected Dataedo to address those needs.

Dataedo was used to import metadata into a central repository, document table/field definitions, relationships, keys and common patterns, and publish HTML documentation to SharePoint for secure, companywide access. As a result, Dataedo became BHG’s single source of truth, improving productivity for new hires and experienced staff, reducing training time and the likelihood of costly misunderstandings, and better preparing the company for internal and external audits.
