Saint‑Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France (Saint‑Gobain) was seeing unexplained traffic spikes and widespread scraping of proprietary product data across the web, risking both business advantage and legal exposure. To protect its intellectual property and stabilize infrastructure load, Saint‑Gobain turned to DataDome’s SaaS bot protection.
DataDome was deployed (including an Nginx module) and run in monitoring mode before automatically detecting and blocking scraper and other undesirable bots across all 14 brands. The result: scrapers no longer reach Saint‑Gobain’s sites, servers now receive about 12% less traffic—translating to reduced operating expenses—plus improved user experience, faster issue resolution, and time savings thanks to DataDome’s dashboard and reporting.
