Interencheres.com manages its bot traffic with DataDome and AWS CloudFront

Interencheres, France’s leading online auction site (founded 2000, aggregating 265 auction houses and about 1 million unique visitors monthly), was overwhelmed by form spam and scraper bots that generated as many as 15,000 bot-driven emails per day and caused unpredictable traffic spikes and frequent on-call incidents. To address this, Interencheres turned to DataDome, deploying its bot-management solution via the AWS Marketplace and integrating it with Amazon CloudFront using Lambda@edge.

DataDome’s protection was implemented quickly (about 1.5 hours in preproduction) to detect and block automated traffic, protect contact forms, and control access while allowing trusted scrapers when desired. As a result—thanks to DataDome—members no longer receive bot-generated spam, traffic peaks now reflect legitimate activity, server load is better managed, and the volume of on-call incidents has dropped dramatically, with the DataDome dashboard providing actionable insights for ongoing traffic and SEO decisions.
