KuantoKusta, Portugal’s leading price-comparison site (3M monthly users, 2M+ products), faced massive unauthorized scraping and bot traffic—about 70% of visits—which was leaking price data, threatening its new paid PriceBench service, and causing bandwidth spikes that slowed the site by 2–4 seconds. To stop content scraping and protect user and merchant data, KuantoKusta selected DataDome’s anti-bot protection for a low-latency, self‑managed solution.
DataDome was deployed in a few hours and run in observation mode for two weeks to establish a baseline; KuantoKusta then used DataDome’s dashboard to whitelist trusted traffic and set automated responses. The result: unwanted bots were efficiently blocked and many abandoned the site, price scraping stopped, merchants began subscribing to PriceBench, user data is better protected for GDPR compliance, and the traffic spikes that previously slowed pages were eliminated.
