Eight Sleep achieves end-to-end observability with Datadog

Eight Sleep, a sleep‑fitness company that builds temperature‑controlled pods and a companion app, needed better visibility into how users experienced its platform. With a small engineering team and an overly basic uptime tool that produced false alarms, the company sought an observability solution that would surface real issues, prevent outages, and reduce manual firefighting.

Eight Sleep adopted Datadog APM, Synthetic Monitoring, and Real User Monitoring, consolidated logs and traces into a single pane of glass, and built dashboards to track key user journeys.
