Case Study: Charm Industrial achieves real-time scalable visibility and cuts analysis time from days to hours with Datadog

A Datadog Case Study

Preview of the Charm Industrial Case Study

Charm Industrial uses Datadog to access critical data in real time as they reduce the effects of climate change

Charm Industrial is an environmental company that designs and operates mobile fast pyrolyzers to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere. To scale to tens of thousands of systems without on-site operators, Charm needed real-time monitoring of critical sensors (temperature, pressure, flow, gas composition) with minimal human interaction, but only two engineers could previously parse CSVs and produce analyses that took days.

Charm adopted Datadog Infrastructure Monitoring to send custom metrics and build real-time dashboards, expanding access from 2 to 30+ team members and reducing historical-analysis time from 2–3 days to hours. The dashboards enabled continuous active monitoring, alerted engineers to a pressure buildup before failure, and gave the company the visibility to safely scale operations and accelerate its carbon‑sequestration goals.
