FieldEx boosts resilience and operational efficiency with Datadog

FieldEx, a Kuala Lumpur–based provider of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) serving customers across APAC, Africa, Europe and North America, faced growing strain as demand scaled to 15 TB of data per week. The 35‑person company needed to maintain 99.9% availability, strong cybersecurity, and avoid disruptive downtime for critical industries such as construction, telecom and finance.

FieldEx adopted Datadog’s cloud monitoring (APM, security monitoring, log explorer, dashboards and more) to automate issue detection and alerts. Since rolling out Datadog on July 24, 2024, operational efficiency improved 30%, mean time to detect fell from 25 to 2 minutes (≈92% improvement), MTTA dropped from 40 to 10 minutes (≈75% improvement) and MTTR decreased from 95 to 42 minutes (56% reduction); customers in construction saw an 81.3% cut in unplanned downtime, 72.5% higher productivity and a 26.4% revenue uplift.
