USDA’s Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC), a federated data center supporting 14 federal departments, faced rising complexity from a modernized hybrid‑cloud environment and a 2021 Executive Order that required FedRAMP‑authorized solutions. ECCO Select implemented Datadog’s FedRAMP‑authorized observability platform, automating agent deployment to 4,800 hosts and achieving coverage of over 95% of infrastructure within 75 days, including roughly 4,000 containers and migration of 1,100 monitor templates. The deployment consolidated monitoring, sped root‑cause analysis—resolving a persistent memory issue that generated 700+ service tickets—and delivered improved security, operational efficiency, and self‑service visibility for DISC’s customers.
