German Cancer Research Center Deploys DobiMigrate for NAS Migration

DKFZ (German Cancer Research Center), a major biomedical research institute in Germany, needed to migrate more than 60 million files from an aging Dell EMC Celerra NS-480 to a new Dell EMC Isilon system. With limited IT resources and a desire to quickly realize the benefits of the new platform, the team needed a fast, easy, and affordable NAS migration solution. Datadobi’s DobiMigrate was selected to help move the data to the new environment.

Datadobi implemented DobiMigrate for the NAS migration, enabling DKFZ to consolidate onto its new Isilon platform and double its storage capacity while making management easier.
