Payspan, a Florida-based healthcare reimbursement services provider, needed to complete a difficult NAS-to-NAS migration of about 50 TB of highly important financial data, including over 1 billion very small files. Their internal tools struggled with long cutover windows, permission issues, deeply nested directories, and overall migration complexity, so they turned to Datadobi’s DobiMigrate through partner DefendX.

Datadobi worked with Payspan to resolve SAMBA performance issues on the target and then carried out the migration using DobiMigrate. The project finished smoothly, on time, and on budget, with the solution handling massive file counts, blocking moves without directory constraints, and scaling as needed during scans of production data. Payspan was so pleased with the support and results that it called Datadobi its best partner and plans to use Datadobi again for future projects.
