How FoodChéri Syncs MongoDB to BigQuery for Quicker Insights, with Less Engineering

FoodChéri, a French food delivery company, needed to access and analyze the operational data stored in its MongoDB database. The challenge was to replicate this data to Google BigQuery for analytics without causing disruptions to their critical production systems, all while reducing engineering complexity. They chose the vendor Dataddo to solve this data integration problem.

Dataddo implemented a CDC-based replication solution using their platform, which included a custom-built MongoDB connector. This allowed for near real-time, one-to-one data syncing to BigQuery. The solution enabled FoodChéri to transfer over 1 TB of data daily and reduced their infrastructure bill by an average of 37.5%, as only changed data was transferred. Dataddo provided a user-friendly platform that freed the company's engineers to focus on data analysis instead of pipeline maintenance.
