How Booming Uses Act-On and Looker Studio for Data-Driven Lead Generation

Booming, an Amsterdam-based digital marketing agency, faced a challenge with a client, a vinyl graphics manufacturer. The client needed a real-time dashboard to track numerous lead forms and automatic emails from Act-On, but the data was messy and cluttered. A key issue was that Act-On's API only provided total, all-time metrics for emails instead of the necessary day-by-day breakdown to track performance over time.

The vendor Dataddo solved this by creating 34 custom data sets to individually map every lead form and email metric. Using Dataddo's "Append" feature, they enabled the tracking of email performance over time, which was previously impossible. This data was then funneled into Looker Studio, resulting in a comprehensive dashboard that gave the client a big-picture perspective on lead generation and the tools to make more informed marketing decisions.
