Loeb Partners Corporation, including its asset management arm Loeb Capital Management, needed to modernize its IT to eliminate single points of failure, consolidate aging servers, support a future VDI rollout and meet strict financial‑industry DR requirements while staying on budget. Working with Krantz Secure Technologies, they selected DataCore Software’s SANsymphony‑V storage hypervisor to provide software‑based storage virtualization and high availability.

DataCore Software’s SANsymphony‑V was deployed on HP servers with synchronous mirroring and asynchronous replication to a bunker DR site (using DataCore’s Advanced Site Recovery Manager), eliminating the single point of failure and enabling seamless failover during a real outage. The virtualized platform now runs 26 VMs on three ESX hosts, improved uptime and DR testing, reduced hardware and licensing costs, sped provisioning and enabled application upgrades without new hardware — delivering measurable resiliency and cost savings for Loeb Partners Corporation.
