A DataCore Software Case Study

Preview of the Northwest Wholesale Florists Case Study

Northwest Wholesale Florists - Customer Case Study

Northwest Wholesale Florists, a family-owned floral distributor in Seattle, needed a more resilient, highly available IT platform to support a warehouse move while keeping core apps (Macola, Exchange, POS, Outlook) running and improving data protection. With guidance from reseller Moose Logic, the customer adopted a virtualized storage and server strategy that included DataCore (DataCore Software) SANmelody alongside Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V.

DataCore delivered a SANmelody virtual SAN deployed on repurposed HP DL380 G5 servers paired with a clustered Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V environment supporting live migration. The deployment gave Northwest Wholesale Florists a redundant, reliable and expandable infrastructure: 30+ users run daily operations with improved performance and backup protection, and a real-world hardware failure resulted in automatic VM migration and zero downtime—demonstrating the measurable resilience provided by DataCore.
