iQ Media, a cloud-based media intelligence platform, needed a new way to store and protect 6PB of video files that were growing by 6TB per day. With only two IT staff members, the company wanted a low-maintenance, scalable storage platform that could handle both real-time and historical media data without straining its budget. DataCore Software, using DataCore Swarm and FileFly, fit the need for a more efficient storage approach.

DataCore Software implemented Swarm and FileFly to migrate data from Windows Servers into an easy-to-scale, maintenance-free storage environment with built-in erasure coding for protection. iQ Media began with three nodes and expanded to 12 nodes in Newark and 10 in Columbus, while keeping up with rapid growth and reducing storage-management effort.
