Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc., a top-10 U.S. fiber provider serving consumers, businesses and carriers across a 23-state footprint, faced a consequential residential email outage after a SAN solution failed to meet caching and availability needs. Working with advisor Mirazon, Consolidated Communications turned to DataCore and deployed DataCore software-defined storage to provide the flexibility, performance and high-availability features their engineering team required.

DataCore was rolled out initially at three sites and expanded across the company’s infrastructure in both traditional SAN and hyper-converged models, using synchronous mirroring to create stretched active-active clusters.
