DataCore Hyper-converged Virtual SAN

Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO), the 911 Public Safety Answering Point for Jackson County, struggled with severe SQL Server storage latency (around 200 ms) that slowed dispatch response and lacked robust real-time mirroring and replication. To address this, ECSO turned to DataCore and its DataCore Hyperconverged Virtual SAN to modernize storage, reduce latency and improve resilience.

DataCore deployed a hyperconverged Virtual SAN (parallel I/O, high‑speed caching, auto‑tiering and synchronous mirroring to a DR site) across a small cluster, enabling seamless failover and simpler management. The DataCore solution delivered a 20× application performance improvement, cut peak latencies from ~200 ms to under 5 ms (under 1 ms at normal load), reduced storage-related downtime, and allowed ECSO to retain NetApp for archival tiering while achieving continuous availability.
