Case Study: CompuTech City achieves always-on, high-performance, scalable EHR services with DataCore Software SANsymphony

A DataCore Software Case Study

Preview of the CompuTech City Case Study

CompuTech City - DataCore’s SANsymphony-V Storage Hypervisor Supports Virtualized Data Center

CompuTech City (CTC), a healthcare-focused IT services firm and SaaS Electronic Health Records (EHR) provider, faced availability, scalability and performance limits with its existing storage virtualization as it expanded its EHR offering. To meet healthcare uptime and HIPAA-driven reliability requirements, CompuTech City adopted DataCore SANsymphony software‑defined storage from DataCore.

DataCore implemented SANsymphony in an active‑active configuration with onsite synchronous mirroring, non‑disruptive pass‑through migration and high‑speed Level‑1 caching. The solution enabled seamless failover/failback and painless migration of terabytes of data, doubled storage I/O to about 270–300 Mbps, and now supports 800 users (with ~100 doctors daily) across the virtualized environment — while allowing maintenance during business hours and turning CompuTech City into a DataCore value‑added provider.
