Amnet Technology Solutions, a Stamford‑based private cloud, co‑location and managed IT services provider, needed a cost‑effective, highly available storage architecture to scale its unified and wholesale cloud offerings, support larger enterprise clients, and provide reliable offsite replication and disaster recovery. To address these challenges Amnet turned to DataCore and its SANsymphony storage hypervisor to unify disparate EMC/HP/other storage tiers and deliver continuous, non‑stop operations.

DataCore deployed SANsymphony / SANsymphony‑V with caching, synchronous mirroring and compressed replication, producing about a 2× performance boost on EMC arrays, sub‑20 microsecond response times, non‑disruptive failover and a new backup/replication platform that reduced costs by ~30%. With DataCore, Amnet now manages roughly 350 TB, supports 5,000 users and 400 VMs, can provision VMs and storage in minutes, and provides faster backups and resilient offsite DR for its customers.
