Achieving High-Availability and Continuous Operations through a Software-Defined Virtual Data Center Powered by DataCore

Mid-America Transplant Services (MTS), the regional organ and tissue procurement organization serving 4.3 million people, faced significant storage and business‑continuity challenges as it moved to a VMware vSphere virtualized environment. To achieve mission‑critical high availability and backend robustness, MTS selected DataCore’s SANsymphony‑V storage virtualization platform.

DataCore, with implementation support from partner Mirazon, delivered a software‑defined virtual data center using SANsymphony‑V that provides automated tiering, adaptive high‑speed caching and rapid provisioning. The deployment now supports 35 virtual servers and 70 virtual desktops for 120 users, delivering continuous VMware vSphere availability, improved application performance, hardware independence and the scalable, resilient infrastructure MTS required.
