Case Study: Rolls‑Royce achieves 100x faster engineering design processes with DataCamp

A DataCamp Case Study

Preview of the Rolls-Royce Case Study

How Rolls-Royce 100x'ed the speed of their engineering design processes

Rolls‑Royce, the global aerospace and power‑systems company, faced slow, manual data‑handling and design workflows and lacked a centralized way to upskill both technical and non‑technical staff. To standardize learning and accelerate engineering design, Rolls‑Royce partnered with DataCamp to deliver role‑based training in Python, Power BI, and general data literacy.

DataCamp created custom learning tracks (including a Python program for engineers and Power BI/data literacy for other roles), made available on demand and integrated into employees’ work schedules. The training helped Rolls‑Royce automate multiple manual processes, free engineers for higher‑value work, and reportedly increased the speed of their data handling/design workflows by 100x — a capability they now use to support recruitment, promotions, and further internal expansion with DataCamp.
