How GfK uses DataCamp for flexible R training

GfK, a global market and consumer intelligence firm, needed a flexible way to keep its Geomarketing/GeoInsights team’s R skills current across a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels while accommodating tight schedules. To meet this challenge, GfK adopted DataCamp, using DataCamp for Business to provide on-demand, bite-sized R training that fits varied learner paces and roles.

DataCamp delivered short video lessons, hands-on tutorials and in-browser coding challenges, plus a management dashboard that lets GfK managers monitor progress and adjust training assignments. As a result, GfK reports strong learner satisfaction, faster uptake of functional programming and practical R packages (ggplot2, ggvis) for day-to-day work, and improved ability for managers to track and measure team learning via DataCamp’s reporting tools.
