How DataCamp Helps Drax Accelerate the Transition to Renewable Energy

Drax Group, a UK renewable energy provider, needed to build a data-driven culture to meet its sustainability and innovation goals and to support professional development across core data teams and adjacent departments. To do this, Drax Group partnered with DataCamp for Business to deliver hands-on, interactive training in Python, SQL, Power BI and ChatGPT and to enable data science career transitions for non-technical employees.

DataCamp provided career tracks, custom learning paths, SSO, a mobile app and hands-on Workspace projects, supported by DataCamp’s Customer Success team; 116 learners completed more than 3,850 hours on the platform and 110+ professionals gained key Python, SQL, data literacy and Power BI skills. As a result, DataCamp helped Drax Group accelerate innovation, enable internal data‑science career moves (many via the Data Scientist with Python track), and roll out custom tracks to broaden organization-wide data literacy.
