Transforming supply chain data into real-time intelligence with GenAI

Accuris, a provider of mission-critical supply chain intelligence for more than 7,500 customers in aerospace, defense, manufacturing and other industries, needed a better way to turn a huge, fragmented catalog of electronic components into AI-ready insights. Traditional machine learning approaches were too labor-intensive and resource-heavy, and existing vendor solutions could not scale to support faster alternate-parts identification and reduced supply chain risk. Accuris partnered with Databricks, using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to build a GenAI-powered engineering assistant.

Databricks helped Accuris unify data ingestion and transformation with Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, while also accelerating AI development with Mosaic AI, RAG pipelines, and MLflow. The result was a natural-language, intelligent retrieval experience that improved sourcing workflows, shortened cycle times, and expanded digital self-service. Accuris said the new approach delivers insights at scale with far less effort than traditional ML, enabling faster, more accurate decision-making across its supply chain operations.
