TD Modernizes Data Environment With Databricks to Drive Value for Its Customers

TD Bank Group faced a need to modernize its aging data estate to better serve customers and empower business users. As the bank moved toward the cloud, it sought to simplify its technology stack, consolidate fragmented data sources, and scale analytics and machine learning capabilities across the enterprise.

TD implemented Databricks and Delta Lake on Azure, building a centralized Data-as-a-Service platform and about 15,000 data pipelines to create a single source of truth. The modernization delivered more reliable, high‑performance ingestion and transformation, faster and secure access for downstream analytics and ML, improved self‑service for business teams, and even helped attract talent—driving better customer experiences and operational efficiency.
