Furniture.com is an online furniture marketplace partnering with 60+ retailers and more than 1.5 million SKUs, but it faced the challenge of making a huge, fragmented catalog easier for shoppers to search and discover. Using Databricks and its Data Intelligence Platform, including Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog, Furniture.com built Find It AI, an AI-powered product discovery experience to improve search accuracy and personalization.

Databricks helped Furniture.com automate product standardization and categorization, streamline data workflows, and support faster partner onboarding. The results were significant: average CTR rose from 3% to 10% for users seeing Find It AI and to 23.5% for active users, while return rates increased from 7.17% to 23.2%. Operationally, Databricks helped keep the merchandising team lean, with 4–5 people managing the catalog instead of the 10+ that would likely have been needed without automation.
