WebMotors, the largest automotive marketplace in Brazil, wanted to give employees better self-service access to data without relying on manual support from the data team. Using Databricks and its AI/BI Genie product, the company addressed a slow, ticket-heavy analytics process that limited insight generation and made it hard for nontechnical users to explore data.
Databricks AI/BI Genie enabled WebMotors employees to ask questions in natural language and get answers instantly, without SQL or deep technical knowledge. The result was a 72% year-over-year reduction in manual tickets and about two hours saved per request, while 214 users were trained across departments in just 18 sessions, freeing the data team to focus on more strategic work.
