Hershey, the chocolate company, needed a better way to gather, analyze, and share commercial data across the business so stakeholders could work from a single source of truth. The company had been relying on disconnected sources and manually built spreadsheets, which made it difficult to keep pace with changing consumer behavior and gain timely insights. Hershey chose the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform for its data store and commercial data solutions.

With Databricks, implemented alongside Advancing Analytics, Hershey built an automated CDS platform using Databricks for ETL, data processing, and Databricks SQL. The result was a shift from manual spreadsheet reporting to live dashboards and BI access through Tableau and Power BI, plus complete, accurate data feeds from its largest retail customer. Databricks helped Hershey unlock faster access to usable data, improve business-team visibility, and create a stronger foundation for future analytics.
