Eyeview is a market-leading video advertising technology company whose VideoIQ platform personalizes thousands of ad permutations using large-scale first- and third-party data. As data volumes grew (100+ TB total, ~1.5 TB/day ingest), Eyeview’s legacy stack struggled: key queries took hours, the system couldn’t scale on-demand, costs and DevOps overhead ballooned, and there was no native support for machine learning.
By moving to Databricks on AWS, Eyeview gained flexible, managed Spark clusters, separated compute and storage, and built-in tooling for interactive analysis and ML. The change cut large-query times by 10×, sped ETL and processing about 4× without added operational cost, reclaimed ~20% of analysts’ time, reduced DevOps work, and accelerated product feature development.
