A Databricks Case Study
MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel company with 45 million monthly active users, faced rapidly growing and fragmented data across hotels, flights and cars that created inconsistent, duplicate records and a tangle of hard-to-maintain pipelines. This siloed landscape slowed model training, hindered cross-team collaboration, and complicated their move to an AWS-based data platform.
Partnering with Databricks, MakeMyTrip built a unified data analytics platform with a centralized Feature Store, Delta Lake and Spark to unify streaming and batch sources into a single source of truth. The new environment streamlined featurization and collaboration, sped up model deployment and orchestration, and enabled more precise, personalized campaigns—driving a 20% increase in click-through rates and providing a scalable foundation for future ML-driven products.
