A Databricks Case Study
Korea Credit Data (KCD) helps business owners make smarter financial decisions through its Cashnote app, which serves 1.4 million users. To expand into credit scoring, payments, marketing and POS management, KCD turned to Databricks and its Data Intelligence Platform to improve data management, while addressing challenges around cost tracking, data lineage and operational efficiency.
Using Databricks, KCD migrated data to Delta Lake, built and monitored transaction pipelines, and used Unity Catalog for tagging, lineage and cost visibility. The result was faster, more accurate financial services, simpler onboarding, and major cost optimization through better control of jobs and clusters. KCD also reduced data latency and improved operational efficiency, achieving massive cost savings compared with its previous system.
